In her works Rachel Cohen Kedar searches for beauty, simplicity and often the esoteric. She creates works that are fragile, that often question their being as works of art. Part of an analytical research process, these insignificant objects form a sort of basic vocabulary that deals with questions of presentation and significance. The objects on display examine the place of humanity and its characteristics in a chaotic world, while contending with questions of limits between presentations of modernism and progress as opposed to primeval and ancient.

עבודותיה של רחל כהן קידר מתאפיינות בחיפוש אחר היופי והעניין הפשוט ולעיתים אף באיזוטרי. היא יוצרת עבודות שבריריות, שלעיתים, מעוררות שאלות לגבי עצם היותן עבודות אמנות. כחלק מתהליך מחקר אנליטי, מבססים החפצים הזניחים מעין אוצר מילים בסיסי העוסק בשאלות של תצוגה ומשמעות. החפצים המוצגים לראווה בוחנים את מקומו של האדם, מאפייניו בעולם כאוטי, תוך התמודדות עם שאלות של גבולות בין ייצוגים של עכשוויות וקדמה ובין ראשוניות וקמאיות.
